This policy explains what information Satdobato collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone number and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
• Order details: delivery address, items ordered, and order history.
• Payment information: we never collect card or bank details. For Cash on Delivery nothing extra is collected. For eSewa and Khalti, you upload a screenshot of your payment so our team can verify it; we keep it with your order.
• Usage data: pages visited and basic device/browser information, to keep the site working well.

2. The Satdobato app

The Satdobato Android and iOS app collects the same account and order details described above, and uses them in the same ways. In addition:

• It stores your sign-in session, cart, wishlist and recent searches on your device. They’re removed when you sign out, clear the app’s data or uninstall it.
• It only accesses your photos when you choose a payment screenshot to upload, and only that image is sent to us.
• It doesn’t collect your location, contacts or advertising ID.
• All data is sent to us over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

3. How we use your information

• To process and deliver your orders.
• To provide customer support.
• To send order updates and, if you opt in, occasional promotional messages.
• To improve our site and catalogue.

4. Sharing your information

We share order and delivery details with delivery partners strictly to fulfil your order. We don’t sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cart. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not work correctly without them.

6. Data retention

We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. To delete your account and the data linked to it, see Delete your account.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
